A BIT OF BACKGROUND
How We Got Started
We started breeding these wonderful animals many years back before the popularity of these Geckos blossomed. Originally we did not plan to operate as a professional Gecko Breeder, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, we became hooked and soon we added a second and then a third Gecko to our family. Soon after we developed the vision for big dark GT Geckos with brilliant Razzberry colored pattern. Down the road of selective breeding we went, which led to the birth of our business and our Razzberry line. Since then, we’ve known so much love, work, comradery and excitement!
There have been many bumps along the road, with many successes and failures. Sticking to your vision can be difficult and even more challenging when things don't go according to plans! But if this was easy everyone would do it and then the mystique of these majestic Dinosaur-like Geckos would be lost. So the challenge of breeding and keeping these Geckos Viable is also a blessing.
One of our favorite things to pass on is the idea of waking up with something to look forward to every morning. Whether it is breeding or just normal keeping, every morning we wake up with a purpose. The morning Gecko check-up is always a great way to start the day. Breeding season is rewarding as you constantly have to go on egg hunts, searching to see if there any hidden fresh laid eggs to discover! However, the pinnacle of success and fun as a breeder is checking your incubator first thing in the morning and finding fresh hatched babies. Nothing beats seeing your creations with a look possibly never seen before, staring back at you after watching it in an egg sit there untouched for months! This never gets old and I love sharing the passion and enthusiasm about breeding with others.
This hobby is filled full of similar minded passionate people that love animals and science. Like most of us we all started as children with a curiosity of the world and all the animals in it. Dinosaurs are the most amazing creatures to ever walk the earth and now we are able to keep their ancestors in captivity to see and handle any time we want!
